Mother's Day

Well first off I'd like to wish my friends and family that are mother's or soon to be mother's a Happy Mother's Day! I hope you all had a wonderful day!!

Today turned out to be such a wonderful day...it all started with breakfast in bed! Kaila had the idea of making me breakfast so my hubby helped my daughter make me one of my favorite cereals, Lucky Charms, toast and good old Sunny D! There was also a beautiful champagne glass with a very pretty white flower in it!!

Then I went down stairs to some beautiful flowers and a gift from Rob & Kaila. Kaila made me some homemade gifts from school, a Mother's Day flower poem and stand. In the gift bag were some comfy shorts pajamas (been needing those!!), and little gifts for the boys! A package of dinosaur onesies and 2 stuffed animals, one for each boy! I also received some pretty yellow roses from Jim! Here are some pictures of the gifts and a close-up of the boys stuffed animals!



After that we went to lunch at Olive Garden...love that place...and then Kaila and I went a got our nails done and went shopping at my favorite store, Target!! All in all it was a great day!! Thank you Rob & Kaila...Love you both!!

Weekend Shenanigans & Father's Day!

Our weekend craziness started a little early on Friday morning when someone got a little hair cut by another 5 year old in this house... The boys wanted to watch a show before swim lessons and when I called them down, I got no response so I ran up there and Tyson says, "Mom! I get a jelly bean because I let Lincoln cut my hair!!".  Um, no. I didn't get a picture of him, but this is his hair...a lot of his hair!  It was cut in so many chunks and some places right to the scalp, so he got his head shaved today...and, he's so darn cute!   The Majorek kids and Richardson kids finally got to hang out and so we took the kids to Chuck E Cheeses...not our ideal place to hang, but the kids had a great time!  This little dudes face was so darn cute on this ride :o) And best news of the weekend, this kids finally learned how to swim!!!!  We have no idea as to why all of a sudden he decided to do it, ...

Highs & Lows of Surgery

Recovering after his surgery Thank you all for praying for Tyson, he is recovering great after a very long surgery Tuesday. Usually it takes a few days to close their chests back up after surgery, but his swelling was not too bad so, Dr. Nigro was able to close it on Wednesday, which is fantastic! He was doing really well with his breathing on the ventilator while trying to ween him off, that they decided to remove that Wednesday morning. After they removed it unfortnately, Tyson stopped breathing 5 different times within about 30-45 minutes after the ventilator was removed. The Nurses, Doctors and Respitory Therapists were still with him and were able to make him breathe again on his own after messing with and having to "bag" him. They believe that he still had the sedative medication in his blood stream and was not as awake enough. They gave him medication to reverse the effects of the sedative so that he would wake up which worked and he became stable. A few hours later ...
