3 years old!!

Yay!  The boys are 3!!

{For their big day I blew up 36 balloons and filled their room, they were beyond exstatic when they woke up!! It was priceless}
 
I seriously cannot believe they are 3 already, this year has flown by.  I don't know what it is about this year, but I am way more nostalgic and emotional about them turning 3.  Maybe it's because they are like little dudes now as opposed to babies because they're having real conversations, their imagination is just exploding or their potty trained (yay!), but all I know is that I just love love love being their mommy.


They may make me completely insane some days, but they really are just the light of this family.  Their personalities are so different from each other, but they are a lot alike and even if they fight like crazy they have to be with each other.  It's seriously so sweet how they are together!




Here's some highlights at age 3...
  • Can count to 10 in Spanish {thank you, Maria!}
  • Can pretty much count to 20
  • Knows all their colors
  • Sings their ABC's all the time as loud as can be!
  • Are beginning to recognize letters
  • Potty trained!! {uno & dos}
  • Have a huge obsession with cars:  hotwheels, the movie "cars" vehicles
  • Love to sing; here are some favs...
    • LMFAO, Party Rockin'
    • FloRida, Whistle
    • One Direction---no, this is not a typo...big sister makes them listen to them all the time!
    • Anything pop/rap on the radio
    • Mickey Mouse Club House & Chuggington theme songs
  • Favorite colors are:
    • Tyson: Green
    • Lincoln: Orange
    • Both like: yellow, blue & green too :o)
  • Favorite animals:
    • Tyson: Snake
    • Lincoln: Fish
  • Growth Stats will come soon...can't get in to the Doctor until October 4th. I am very curious as to where they are!

Life has been so crazy the past 9 months, but these two keep us grounded and show us how great our lives really are.  We just love them to pieces!!

Weekend Shenanigans & Father's Day!

Our weekend craziness started a little early on Friday morning when someone got a little hair cut by another 5 year old in this house... The boys wanted to watch a show before swim lessons and when I called them down, I got no response so I ran up there and Tyson says, "Mom! I get a jelly bean because I let Lincoln cut my hair!!".  Um, no. I didn't get a picture of him, but this is his hair...a lot of his hair!  It was cut in so many chunks and some places right to the scalp, so he got his head shaved today...and, he's so darn cute!   The Majorek kids and Richardson kids finally got to hang out and so we took the kids to Chuck E Cheeses...not our ideal place to hang, but the kids had a great time!  This little dudes face was so darn cute on this ride :o) And best news of the weekend, this kids finally learned how to swim!!!!  We have no idea as to why all of a sudden he decided to do it, ...

Highs & Lows of Surgery

Recovering after his surgery Thank you all for praying for Tyson, he is recovering great after a very long surgery Tuesday. Usually it takes a few days to close their chests back up after surgery, but his swelling was not too bad so, Dr. Nigro was able to close it on Wednesday, which is fantastic! He was doing really well with his breathing on the ventilator while trying to ween him off, that they decided to remove that Wednesday morning. After they removed it unfortnately, Tyson stopped breathing 5 different times within about 30-45 minutes after the ventilator was removed. The Nurses, Doctors and Respitory Therapists were still with him and were able to make him breathe again on his own after messing with and having to "bag" him. They believe that he still had the sedative medication in his blood stream and was not as awake enough. They gave him medication to reverse the effects of the sedative so that he would wake up which worked and he became stable. A few hours later ...
