More blood work...

After I found out that I was pregnant on the 16th, they told me that I had to go back to the doctor's office to get a second round of blood work done. This was to make sure that my levels were increasing (your count should double every 48 hours). Usually the doctor wants to see you in 48 hours but, because of the weekend I couldn't get my blood drawn until Tuesday :o(

So on Tuesday, I went in around 8:30am and gave more blood! The worst part is they tell you "We'll call you between the hours of 3pm and 5pm"...that's like waiting for the electrian, the cable guy or the exterminator! And for the record, it makes for a long day...the dr.'s office finally called (about 4:30/4:45pm) and said my labs came back and everything looks beautiful and there are no red flags! She said that my count had jumped to 1302 which was great! And the best part...our first ultra-sound was scheduled for February 3rd at 9am!

So glad everything is progressing normally! Feb. 3rd cannot come fast enough. I am so excited for you to hear your baby's heartbeat and see the weird little tadpole for the first time :)

I did not cry (you know me, not a crier) but it was definitely a very powerful moment in my life that I will never, ever forget.

Our weekend craziness started a little early on Friday morning when someone got a little hair cut by another 5 year old in this house... The boys wanted to watch a show before swim lessons and when I called them down, I got no response so I ran up there and Tyson says, "Mom! I get a jelly bean because I let Lincoln cut my hair!!".  Um, no. I didn't get a picture of him, but this is his hair...a lot of his hair!  It was cut in so many chunks and some places right to the scalp, so he got his head shaved today...and, he's so darn cute!   The Majorek kids and Richardson kids finally got to hang out and so we took the kids to Chuck E Cheeses...not our ideal place to hang, but the kids had a great time!  This little dudes face was so darn cute on this ride :o) And best news of the weekend, this kids finally learned how to swim!!!!  We have no idea as to why all of a sudden he decided to do it, ...

Highs & Lows of Surgery

Recovering after his surgery Thank you all for praying for Tyson, he is recovering great after a very long surgery Tuesday. Usually it takes a few days to close their chests back up after surgery, but his swelling was not too bad so, Dr. Nigro was able to close it on Wednesday, which is fantastic! He was doing really well with his breathing on the ventilator while trying to ween him off, that they decided to remove that Wednesday morning. After they removed it unfortnately, Tyson stopped breathing 5 different times within about 30-45 minutes after the ventilator was removed. The Nurses, Doctors and Respitory Therapists were still with him and were able to make him breathe again on his own after messing with and having to "bag" him. They believe that he still had the sedative medication in his blood stream and was not as awake enough. They gave him medication to reverse the effects of the sedative so that he would wake up which worked and he became stable. A few hours later ...
