32 Weeks & Counting

Well we have made it past one hurdle...we made it to 32 weeks! Still have at least 3-4 weeks to go but after the weekend we had 2 weeks ago, we are very happy to be at 32 weeks!!! Tyson's surgeon said that he even though he would rather not, he could do his surgery between 32-34 weeks just not any earlier---although we're aiming to make it to 35-36 weeks!

So what does 32 weeks look like for the babies? Here's what they look like and what my e-mails say along with my responses in the middle:
By the end of the 32nd week, each baby will weigh approximately four pounds. According to our dr's they were almost 4 lbs 2 weeks ago and both are head down. Actually, twins are tracking along the same rate as singletons at this point of the pregnancy. You should be familiar with their patterns of movement, although it is not as strong. Definitely have their patterns or routines of movement down, but they are still strong! These boys are not taking it easy! It is difficult to determine which baby is which. Both of these boys are in seperate sacs and have been from the beginning and won't change positions--Lincoln is on my left and Tyson is on my right. Some moms can feel when their babies have the hiccups. This is very normal and should not be a concern. Poor guys have them almost every day :( The babies are putting on alot of fat now, which is necessary after birth to regulate temperature. During this month, the head will be more in proportion to the body. With the exception of the lungs, all organs and systems are operational. That's why these guys are staying in until at least 35/36 weeks!! At this point, fatigue is very pronounced. Listen to your body and rest when you can. Holy Cow has it ever! I'm way more tired than I have been in a very long time!! Even if you can not actually sleep, try to prop your feet up and allow your body to rest. Breathlessness may also be worse now. Yes it is, getting off the couch or bed takes so much out of me not to mention walking up or down the stairs! Your uterus is taking up an incredible amount of room in your diaphragm. Sitting up straight may help some with this problem. Backache is becoming worse also. It's not as bad as I thought it would be but it doesn't feel very good!! Pay attention to any new or unusual aching in your back-it could be a sign of preterm labor. Been there, done that...the contraction medicine helps relax everything so we're good! A nice, warm bath can help soothe the discomfort of a backache. Do not sit in a jacuzzi or use hot water, though. If you spend alot of time standing up or sitting down, hemorrhoids are likely to be a problem. To avoid constipation that could make the hemorrhoids worse, continue to eat a balanced diet and drink plenty of water. Cold packs and sitz baths may offer some relief. I'm good on the last issue! Hopefully being on bed rest won't cause any problems like that...I really don't need nor want to have that problem! Pregnancy sure does have a toll on the female body but it's all worth it in the end :o)

Now here's what I look like at 32 weeks!! I'll warn ya, it's a big belly!!!

Your belly looks so painful! I feel like you need to be holding it. Does it hurt?!? I haven't experienced it yet, and seeing your pictures makes me a little worried. Haha!

Just got a call through the family chain that you are in labor but they are trying to stop it. We are praying for you all! Do not be anxious for the Lord already knows His plans and He has already went ahead and made the perfect path for these two boys. We will pray that they keep cookin' but if they want to come we will pray for strength and health for all of you. Love, Tony, Samantha, and Aniston

OMG - I am a terrible blogger! Just lost my entire message. Take 2.
First of all, your belly is adorable and amazing! I wish I were there to give those babies a big hug - yeah, you probably wouldn't like me touching your belly but it might be hard to resist. : ) We haven't heard yet if you are home from the hospital. We have been saying extra prayers for all of you, along with everyone in the family. We had direct orders from Dad to "shower heaven with prayers". Done and done. Did it work? We are excited to hear from you. We're not quite ready to meet those boys yet so keep up the amazing job Mommy! Did you hear that boys, not quite yet.
We will be excited to come and help as soon as you need us. We love you and you are in our thoughts and prayers daily. x0x0x Ang, Sham & Noah
