Goodbye soccer, for now!

Today was Kaila's last soccer game, and boy was it hot!! The high was 106* and we're pretty sure that it was almost that high at 10am!! Even though they lost their last game, the girls played hard and had so much fun!! All the parents were so proud at how well they all played this season, their record was 5-3.

Kaila has been told all season that she has a "big foot", now yes her feet are big (she's gonna be tall) but were talking about how big and strong her kick is. When she's goalie, she can kick it from her net to the other side of the field almost making it into the other net! Here's video of her kicking it...

After the game, their Coaches took the girls to McDonald's for ice cream and awards!

What a great season!!  Kaila did awesome for her 1st time playing soccer ever!  We're so proud and can't wait to start again in the fall!!

After the induction ceremony for Kaila the kids got to get up close and personal with a Police Officer's SUV.  Kambrie's (Kaila's Best Friend) dad is a Supervisor for the Police Dept and was kind enough to let all the kids check it out :o)  They all had so much fun and thought it was the coolest thing ever!

So creative...

Kaila blows me away some days with her creativity and imagination!  She had a project at school where they had to make replecas of important items out of a book they read in class.  If I remember correctly the book is called the "Hatchet".  They also had to present it to everyone and out of her entire class, her teacher asked her if she could keep it so that she can have it as an example for next year! Here is what she made...and honestly I just helped with the hot glue gun, everything was her idea and was done by her own little hands!! The bird from the book... His home that he built... The plane he came in on, tornado and fire... His bow and arrow...  And his raft and hatchet... Great job Kaila!!
