Good news always has bad news

Good news : After being at  St. Joe's for 3 hours, his Cardiologist, Dr. Pophal, and the rest of his team decided that Tyson does not have to have surgery on his heart as of right now!!  His gradient level, which determines the pressure in and out of the heart, was at 47.  That was down 3 points from the last appt 5 weeks ago, although it's not the best number it still isn't the worst.  Pophal said that unfortunatley we are not out of the woods just yet, that Tyson's gradient trend has shown as high as 75 and as low as 20 since his heart surgery in November.  This means that it could get worse, but for now we are being optomistic and taking each appointment for what it's worth and not worry about what might happen.  Of course we were given about 500 scenarios (not really but you get the point) of what could happen, but if we worry too much of what might happen it will completely consume us and will miss out on the greatest gift ever which is ...

Saturday Night Live

Rob and I used to watch SNL a while back but haven't lately until last weekend, it was a sports special and the skit that we came to 1st was Peyton Manning in the locker room dancing w/ Will Forte and it is so freaking hilarious!! I don't know how many times we've watched it, but we laugh out loud every single time!! It's great!! Click on the link below... Will Forte & Peyton Manning Dancing on SNL

Buttons pushed to no end!!

Oh my word this day has been so exhausting and frustrating!  I of course absolutely 100% love my children, but   I was so done today by early afternoon!  Here's a little background story before I say what happened...Both of boys only woke up once during the night and then again around 6am.  I thought they were getting up for the day, but they just wanted to eat and go back to sleep...Tyson woke up at 8:30am and Lincoln 9:30am---anyways that was great and all, but little did I know that the rest of the day was going to be not so good... Normally when we go out in public the boys are angels and I'm not making this up.  They are really good. We went to see my friend that I used to work with for lunch, at Charleston's.  It's a nice restaurant, dark inside and usually is loud during lunch time so I figured we would be fine if they got loud...Mind you I've been there before with the boys and they have been great..not this time! ...

Ethan's Run

We would like to invite all of you to join our family as we support the Congenital Heart Foundation at St. Joseph's Hospital and Medical Center in honor of Ethan Skidmore and his family by participating in Ethan's Run .  Our family will be participating in the 2 mile Fun run/walk. If you would like to run/walk with us please register here  by February 18th. We first met Ethan and his mom when we toured the PCTICU at St. Joe's after we found out that Tyson was going  to have open heart surgery when he was born.  As Heidi already knows, she is by far the strongest mom I know and really made us feel better with our situation even though her son's condition was worse than Tyson's.  Words can't describe the support that she has given all of the Heart Families and we'd like to return that support to her and her family as this has been a difficult time for them.  Unfortunately Ethan earn...
