Cactus

We were outside playing and the boys were riding their bikes, well someone got a little curious and decided to explore what a cactus does...needless to say he was not a fan!
Here's said cactus...which by the way has super tiny thorns that are soft like and very hard to get out!

And here's Tyson's little hand full of tiny thorns :(

We managed to get most of them out, but he was so determined to keep playing that he rode his bike like this...
Poor little guy :(

For most cacti thorns a small pocket comb works great. Just an FYI. :) Got love curious boys!

haha. I LOVE the way he is holding his hand out...that it totally something I would do.

poor guy. Boys are not as smart as girls though, so the only way they were ever going to learn about why we don't touch cacti- was to touch one and figure it out on their own.

Let's hope they remember!!

Weekend Shenanigans & Father's Day!

Our weekend craziness started a little early on Friday morning when someone got a little hair cut by another 5 year old in this house... The boys wanted to watch a show before swim lessons and when I called them down, I got no response so I ran up there and Tyson says, "Mom! I get a jelly bean because I let Lincoln cut my hair!!".  Um, no. I didn't get a picture of him, but this is his hair...a lot of his hair!  It was cut in so many chunks and some places right to the scalp, so he got his head shaved today...and, he's so darn cute!   The Majorek kids and Richardson kids finally got to hang out and so we took the kids to Chuck E Cheeses...not our ideal place to hang, but the kids had a great time!  This little dudes face was so darn cute on this ride :o) And best news of the weekend, this kids finally learned how to swim!!!!  We have no idea as to why all of a sudden he decided to do it, ...

Highs & Lows of Surgery

Recovering after his surgery Thank you all for praying for Tyson, he is recovering great after a very long surgery Tuesday. Usually it takes a few days to close their chests back up after surgery, but his swelling was not too bad so, Dr. Nigro was able to close it on Wednesday, which is fantastic! He was doing really well with his breathing on the ventilator while trying to ween him off, that they decided to remove that Wednesday morning. After they removed it unfortnately, Tyson stopped breathing 5 different times within about 30-45 minutes after the ventilator was removed. The Nurses, Doctors and Respitory Therapists were still with him and were able to make him breathe again on his own after messing with and having to "bag" him. They believe that he still had the sedative medication in his blood stream and was not as awake enough. They gave him medication to reverse the effects of the sedative so that he would wake up which worked and he became stable. A few hours later ...
