Updates

We went to the doctor's yesterday to get a check up and to find out if I will be on bed rest or not and it turns out that the doctor doesn't want to "rock the boat" per say or take any chances so I have been placed on bed rest for the remainder of the pregnancy. I need to make sure the I do not go into labor for another 4 weeks. I'm still taking the contraction medication and will be until I am 36 weeks and then we'll stop those and let nature take it's course. This week I start being seen twice a week, one day will be ultra-sounds and the other will be monitoring heartbeats and/or contractions for a period of time. I will be doing those every Monday and Thursday in addition to the normal check-ups with my doctor every two weeks. When we walked out of the office yesterday I had 7 appointment cards that was just for the next 2 weeks! I might as well move in to the hospital :o) Overall we're all doing just fine! Babies are good and mom is good too...

So Grown Up!

Today was Kaila's first day of 4th Grade!! We can not believe how much she has grown over the years :o) Have to admit it was kind of hard today, don't know why but it was good to see her be so confident today! She looked super cute in her new clothes...such a big girl!! Have a great first day!!

Home Sweet Home!

We are finally home, yay ! I had a final check up before I was released this morning, just to make sure everything was okay. I am still having contractions but they are not leading to pre -term labor, they're just pre -term contractions. I still have to monitor them but the doctors gave me a prescription to stop the contractions, have to take 2 pills every 6 hours. I'm also fighting a couple infections that could have caused these contractions to start so hopefully when those are cured the contractions will stop. They have placed me on bed rest for this next week and until further review from my doctor, so if any of you have any ideas of what I can do chilling at my house please let me know... because I really don't like to sit down all day, it's not so fun!! Thanks for all the good thoughts, it really helped us because we were quite scared to the possibility of having these boys so early!! Now, I'll be taking it easy until it's really time for them to co...

In the hospital

That's right I am currently in the hospital...Friday morning I woke up around 4:15/4:30am and wasn't feeling both babies like I usually do every morning. I tried everything from walking, rolling over, ice packs and drinking a soda but I just couldn't feel Tyson move. Lincoln was moving and kicking like normal but I could only feel Tyson's body putting pressure on my belly but not like the normal movement. Rob thought he felt him kick a couple of times but I wasn't sure so I called my dr.'s office to see if I should come in or what he wanted me to do and of course as soon as I page them, they both start moving and kicking like crazy! Apparently he was sleeping! So I just went into to work like normal, meanwhile my dr.'s office called and said that they will probably want to do an ultra-sound just to be safe even though they were both moving like normal--they called my dr. and asked what he wanted to do and of course he said I needed to be seen/monitored in th...

Baby Shower!!

Image
Sarah, Kaila, Mommy to Be (Ashley), Nana (Nancy), Aunt Haley & Grandma Gert in our super cute and adorable matching shirts for the shower! On Saturday my mom, sister, & best friend, Sarah gave me a baby shower and it was so wonderful!! There were so many people, great food and a ton of gifts for the boys! It was a blast!! We played a few games, guess what kind of baby food is in the jar, how big is Ashley's belly, guess what's in the bag and the game where every one gets a clothes pin and if you cross your legs another person can take your clothes pin, the person with the most clothes pins at the end of the shower wins a prize! And, I can't forget the food, it was so yummy! Especially the 7-layer bean dip that my mom made...it's my favorite!! I had so much fun and can't thank everyone enough for being a part of it! We are so blessed to have these boys on the way and appreciate the generosity given by all of you!! We recieved so many gifts from clothes to ca...

The good and the bad...

28 1/2 weeks ...how crazy is that?! I can't believe that I am already this far along...we only have 7 1/2 weeks left until we hit the 36 week mark!! Rob and I are just amazed by this! Of course with being this far along, all sorts of changes and new adventures have arrived! For one I'm getting huge, well at least Rob and I think I am , you'll be able to see the "photo of the year" as I've called it and you can determine for yourself just how big I'm getting!! And now, I have started to experience the not so fun parts of being pregnant and yes I'm going to complain for a moment because I feel that if you let it out you'll feel so much better and this has been a rough week...Now, don't get me wrong I do enjoy being pregnant but lately my days have been anything but enjoyable!! -I have never been so hot in my entire life that I now take 2 showers a day that have to be ice cold and sometimes am in the pool before my shower! Poor Rob has to sleep w...
