Funny!!!

Rob and I are on our date night and this just goes to show how tired we are...well at least how tired I am... We're sitting at the table and I am getting ready to ask Rob if he is getting a salad and a waitress sets down a salad for each of us and I say "thanks" and get ready to eat it and then Rob says to me and the waitress, um...we haven't ordered yet, those aren't ours...haha!!!

Gardening Adventures...

Image
For a little while now, I have wanted to try out gardening...apparently the hubs was thinking about it too, because he was on board right away!  We used our side yard and built an above raised garden bed.  I was hands on during the entire process, but the hubs did the most of the beginning grunt work (raking the rocks away and leveling the ground) and then we both built it and then Kaila and I planted everything!  We had so much fun and I am so excited to see how it does! DAY 1 The before... The boys trying to help or as they said, "making pancakes"---haha! The sprinkler system works! I don't remember what this tool is called, but it is heavy and it packs the ground...it's what we used to help level everything... The boys goofing off...which is what the did the entire time! Kaila helping move the rock... It's kind of dark, but this is what it looked like at the end of Day 1... DAY 2 We still needed more soil and plan...

Lunch + Parrots?!

Image
Today we had lunch with my BFF, Sarah, and her family!  We haven't seen each other in way too long and we had a great time!!  We went to Joe's Farm Grill and it was delicions :o) While we were eating, this lady walks by us with 3 large parrots on her and then just puts them in a tree like it's no big deal...she was a little crazy as her response to Kaila as to why she brought her parrots there, was "to let them outside"... she might have been a little off her rocker, but her birds were pretty cool!

T-man's Surgery

Image
We started the day off super early---as in 2am early for myself (thank you Lincoln for waking me up an hour early!) and 3:45 for the hubs and T-man.  We were on the road by 4:15am and got there just before 5am...turns out the hospital doesn't open their doors until 5am and the admintance people don't get there until 5:30am...needless to say the boys were a tad bit grumpy knowing they could have slept in an extra 30 minutes :o) For being up so early Tyson actually became super happy and had loads of energy running around, laughing and smiling.  We had a few meltdowns but for the most part he was pretty happy.  We finally went back to the pre-op waiting area and then we were called back by a super nice pre-op nurse.  This part really starts to get me---I know this surgery was minor in comparison to what he has already gone through, but it's still scary.  Anything can happen and I am not in control and I am not very good with that. This conversation was so funny that Rob & Tyson had while I was on my way home... daddy: "where is mommy? tyson: "where mommy at?" daddy: "she's driving home" tyson: "mommy upstairs" daddy: "mommy's upstairs, you sure?" tyson: "yes" daddy: "what's mommy doing" tyson: "mommy go potty" daddy: "what is she doing on the potty? is mommy going poop?"  tyson: "YEAH IT'S STINKY" And then after I get home, Tyson and I have this discussion as he's picking up my bra, tyson asks...."mommies boobies? mama, uh mommies boobies?" Haha...Love this kid!

Holy Hail!!!

Image
A couple days ago, AZ was in the mid to high 80's and today we dropped into the 50's (at the most) and it started hailing!! Crazy!  It's been raining all day so we had ourselves a quiet lazy Sunday watching tv and just lounging...it was amazing!  Look at all this hail...

I love this new easel I bought and so do the boys!  It makes coloring and painting so much easier and aren't they just adorable?! My little multi-taskers, watching tv and coloring...
