Post-Surgery

The surgery (circumcision) went extremely well. It was a very quick procedure and they said he did great! He was put under anesthesia in addition to receiving a coddle block that numbed him from the groin down through his legs (almost like an epidural). When he woke up not only was he hungry, but he was very agitated from not being able to feel his legs. Which was supposed to last anywhere from 4 to 6 hours---his did not, he was feeling his legs within 2 hours!

We weren't quite sure what to expect since this was a different than the way Lincoln had it done (they say the older you are the worst it is), but the "dopey child syndrome" makes it quite easy!!
He's taking Hydrocodone to help manage the pain every 4-6 hours. I'm pretty sure this has to hurt oh-so-very-badly! I mean for Heaven's sake he got his little pee-pee whacked :o( Here is a little glimpse into what it's like having a baby on such crazy meds! This video is shortly after we got home...

I know it's pretty funny...we feel bad thinking so and laughing, but he seriously is cracking us up!!!

Weekend Shenanigans & Father's Day!

Our weekend craziness started a little early on Friday morning when someone got a little hair cut by another 5 year old in this house... The boys wanted to watch a show before swim lessons and when I called them down, I got no response so I ran up there and Tyson says, "Mom! I get a jelly bean because I let Lincoln cut my hair!!".  Um, no. I didn't get a picture of him, but this is his hair...a lot of his hair!  It was cut in so many chunks and some places right to the scalp, so he got his head shaved today...and, he's so darn cute!   The Majorek kids and Richardson kids finally got to hang out and so we took the kids to Chuck E Cheeses...not our ideal place to hang, but the kids had a great time!  This little dudes face was so darn cute on this ride :o) And best news of the weekend, this kids finally learned how to swim!!!!  We have no idea as to why all of a sudden he decided to do it, ...

Highs & Lows of Surgery

Recovering after his surgery Thank you all for praying for Tyson, he is recovering great after a very long surgery Tuesday. Usually it takes a few days to close their chests back up after surgery, but his swelling was not too bad so, Dr. Nigro was able to close it on Wednesday, which is fantastic! He was doing really well with his breathing on the ventilator while trying to ween him off, that they decided to remove that Wednesday morning. After they removed it unfortnately, Tyson stopped breathing 5 different times within about 30-45 minutes after the ventilator was removed. The Nurses, Doctors and Respitory Therapists were still with him and were able to make him breathe again on his own after messing with and having to "bag" him. They believe that he still had the sedative medication in his blood stream and was not as awake enough. They gave him medication to reverse the effects of the sedative so that he would wake up which worked and he became stable. A few hours later ...
