Easter Goodness!

I really love the holidays and with kids, I love them so much more!  Last year, the boys were too young to really know what was going on, but this year was pretty fun :o)  Last night, Kaila and I colored 39 eggs...yes 39!  (Since the boys were in a state of a sugar overload, they went to bed).


Of course, everyone woke up at the crack of dawn and Kaila could not wait to see if the Easter Bunny came!  So, we finally rolled out of bed and off to look for eggs...This year the Easter Bunny hid everything outside which was a hit with Kaila!!

Of course they went straight for the candy...

Which resulted in this...both boys fought for their candy to be back!

They looked for and found all 39 eggs...




Since the boys didn't get to color eggs yesterday, we let them today and it was quite the adventure!  Tyson's first instinct was to eat it, but quickly figured it out.

Having so much fun!


They did pretty well, until Daddy & Tyson got into a little "scuffle" and unfortunately for us, Tyson won...him and Daddy were fighting over the blue/green cup and it ended up spilling all over Tyson and the floor :(  We got it cleaned up and they colored the last couple eggs...

And then when it was time to be "all done", they were very sad!  Apparently, they really enjoyed this activity :o)


Here are the eggs that the boys colored...they did a great job!

We then went to breakfast with my family...


And then finished the day off with a quick dip in the pool...


I actually didn't get in the water...way too cold for my liking :o)

They boys also learned to catch a ball for the first time and now can't get enough of it!!

My kid sobbed too when we were done coloring eggs!!! It was sad. glad to know his best friends had just as much fun!!!

Our weekend craziness started a little early on Friday morning when someone got a little hair cut by another 5 year old in this house... The boys wanted to watch a show before swim lessons and when I called them down, I got no response so I ran up there and Tyson says, "Mom! I get a jelly bean because I let Lincoln cut my hair!!".  Um, no. I didn't get a picture of him, but this is his hair...a lot of his hair!  It was cut in so many chunks and some places right to the scalp, so he got his head shaved today...and, he's so darn cute!   The Majorek kids and Richardson kids finally got to hang out and so we took the kids to Chuck E Cheeses...not our ideal place to hang, but the kids had a great time!  This little dudes face was so darn cute on this ride :o) And best news of the weekend, this kids finally learned how to swim!!!!  We have no idea as to why all of a sudden he decided to do it, ...

Highs & Lows of Surgery

Recovering after his surgery Thank you all for praying for Tyson, he is recovering great after a very long surgery Tuesday. Usually it takes a few days to close their chests back up after surgery, but his swelling was not too bad so, Dr. Nigro was able to close it on Wednesday, which is fantastic! He was doing really well with his breathing on the ventilator while trying to ween him off, that they decided to remove that Wednesday morning. After they removed it unfortnately, Tyson stopped breathing 5 different times within about 30-45 minutes after the ventilator was removed. The Nurses, Doctors and Respitory Therapists were still with him and were able to make him breathe again on his own after messing with and having to "bag" him. They believe that he still had the sedative medication in his blood stream and was not as awake enough. They gave him medication to reverse the effects of the sedative so that he would wake up which worked and he became stable. A few hours later ...
