1st Day of School!

Kaila has officially become a White Tiger!  Last Monday she started 5th grade at a new school, Haley Elementary!  Here are some first day pictures...which for the record, that behind that smile she was not so thrilled I was taking pictures...It was her first time at the new school and taking the bus, I had to!

Off to school...

I'm pretty sure the parents were way more excited for the kids to start school than they were---it's been a long and hot summer!  Me especially, because she got to start taking the bus!!

And, even though she was more nervous than ever, she absolutely loves it and is having a great time!  One of her good friends from her old school is in her class along with so many others, not to mention one of her classmates lives down the street from us and now play almost every day together!!  We have to say that making the switch to the new school is working out pretty nicely :o)

Yay Kaila! I love how you were taking pictures at the bus stop! I would have been so embarrassed. Haha!

Weekend Shenanigans & Father's Day!

Our weekend craziness started a little early on Friday morning when someone got a little hair cut by another 5 year old in this house... The boys wanted to watch a show before swim lessons and when I called them down, I got no response so I ran up there and Tyson says, "Mom! I get a jelly bean because I let Lincoln cut my hair!!".  Um, no. I didn't get a picture of him, but this is his hair...a lot of his hair!  It was cut in so many chunks and some places right to the scalp, so he got his head shaved today...and, he's so darn cute!   The Majorek kids and Richardson kids finally got to hang out and so we took the kids to Chuck E Cheeses...not our ideal place to hang, but the kids had a great time!  This little dudes face was so darn cute on this ride :o) And best news of the weekend, this kids finally learned how to swim!!!!  We have no idea as to why all of a sudden he decided to do it, ...

Highs & Lows of Surgery

Recovering after his surgery Thank you all for praying for Tyson, he is recovering great after a very long surgery Tuesday. Usually it takes a few days to close their chests back up after surgery, but his swelling was not too bad so, Dr. Nigro was able to close it on Wednesday, which is fantastic! He was doing really well with his breathing on the ventilator while trying to ween him off, that they decided to remove that Wednesday morning. After they removed it unfortnately, Tyson stopped breathing 5 different times within about 30-45 minutes after the ventilator was removed. The Nurses, Doctors and Respitory Therapists were still with him and were able to make him breathe again on his own after messing with and having to "bag" him. They believe that he still had the sedative medication in his blood stream and was not as awake enough. They gave him medication to reverse the effects of the sedative so that he would wake up which worked and he became stable. A few hours later ...
