Sea World!

Yeah...we were at Sea World almost a month ago and I'm just now geting to post about it :o)

See I did attempt to write pretty soon after we got home...
Well, we made it home...all in tact and still alive (barely!).  Even though we had a really good time in California, I'm glad to be home.  Vacationing with your kids, especially toddlers and a pre-teen, is rough and exhausting!  Just getting there and home is enough to put you over the edge but then add a theme park, no naps, attitudes, meltdowns, sugar highs and you've got yourself the typical "family vacation!".
I have to firstly point out how great my hubby packed the car...if only it stayed like this :o)

We probably should have left earlier than 4am to avoid the meltdowns from being in the car too long while awak, but we chose to sleep a little longer :o)  Thankfully when we stopped for breakfast in Yuma, there was a playplace inside Carl's Jr---not what we wanted, but the kids needed to run, otherwise I'm not sure we'd quite make in to Cali! haha

As soon as we got into San Diego, we went straight to Sea World!  We were so excited!!  The first animal we saw was Shamu and this picture is just priceless!!  I absolutely love the boys faces and body language!!

We then got up close with the dolphins and even got to touch them!!

And then it was time to see the Shamu show!!  This little lady was determined to get soaked so she sat in the extreme soak zone!

As long as these little dudes had snacks they were so well behaved :o)

SHAMU!!

And then we got wet...we didn't sit far back enough and a little someone was not happy!

Even though she wanted to sit in the soak zone, she quickly realized that she didn't want to get that wet so we decided to let her get some protection :o)

We saw the pet show which the boys really enjoyed!!

The dolphin show was by far the best!! We really enjoyed it that we saw it twice!

They have this awesome Sesame Street area for the little kids and boy were Linc & Tys in Heaven!!  They even went on the rides that I wasn't too sure they'd even get on, but they had a blast and kept saying "more, more".  The pure excitement and joy on their faces was absolutely precious!

We watched the Sea Lion show...which was very funny and entertaining as always!
I got pooped on right after the show...Yay, me!
We also did this really cool thing---we went on a special tour of Sea World and got to get up close and personal with Dolphins, Sea Turtles & Eels...it was awesome!!

This is the largest Sea Turtle they have...they have her alone right now because she is sick and they are trying to rehabilitate her.  She seriously took up about half of the small pool!!

We fed the eels some squid which was disgusting as all get out!!  You stick the squid in the little holes and wait for them to smell it and once they do they'll snatch it right from your hands...it definitely scares you!!

As we were leaving the Dolphin/Eel area, we walked by the "baby" dolphins and they were just playing and playing like little kids, it was really cute!  Just look at this little face...I wanted to take her home!!
We then feed the Sea Turtles some lettuce...

We went on this awesome-fun ride, Atlantis!! And we sure got wet :o)
Rob and I are in the last row...that's me waving!

Me and the Hubs :o)

And then it was time for Kaila to go...as you can see I opted to wear the rain coat to stay somewhat dry and she...well she got drenched!  haha!
Here are some fish from the aquariums...

This Octupus was huge!

Mr. Grumpo Face...

We saw a 4-D show...aren't we stylin' in our cool glasses??

We touched some live Star Fish...

Watched the Dolphins again...

We then checked out Shamu again...

And then we had our first complete melt-down of the trip...that's what you get when you have 2 yr olds who haven't taken a nap in the past couple of days!  This happened on our last day...needless to say, we were ready to go home.

Mommy & the K'ster...

Kaila played games just so that she could win this...

And then the best thing that ever happened to our kids was meeting the Sesame Street characters!! All 3 of them were in Heaven!

The characters also put on a Halloween show and the kids (the boys more so than Kaila) loved it!

Some pictures of us just walking around Sea World...

Depsite some of the craziness that two toddlers and a tween have during a vacation, we had a really good time!! I am so glad that we went :o)
