Grays...

Image
Grays are one of my new favorite colors, so much that out of no where I painted our room... These main walls are the darker gray and I love them, just love them!!! Kind of hard to see because they are close in color, but there are 2 shades of gray...dark and a shade lighter...  I know they're not the best pictures, but after you've been painting for hours and your hands hurt and you are just cranky to the world, you're lucky to even get a shot :o)  I need to remember that painting is not fun...for the first half hour-hour, it's awesome and then you quickly realize why it is that you hate painting!!  It may have taken us about 7 years to paint it, but it's done and really does look good!!

Thanksgiving

Image
Our Thanksgiving this year was very nice.  We started the day off we a huge breakfast and by huge I mean...pancakes, bacon, sausage, hashbrowns, omeletes, eggs, wildberry bread, apple juice & hot chocolate!!  We watched a portion of the light parade and then started cooking and cleaning.  We were supposed to have dinner with just my Mom and brother, Riley, but Haley suprised us and Zach came for dinner too!!  It was awesome and the kids were so happy to see everyone---despite them being sick.  We had a nice dinner and then my Dad and Jim joined us for dessert.  It was a very nice Thanksgiving!!  And I am so thankful that despite everything going on, our family was able to get together and have a good time.  I am also incredibly thankful for my awesome hubby and wonderful kids.  I love them all so much!!!

Funny, Haha!

So last night, I decided to paint our bedroom...it's a dark gray color and btw, I love it!...anyways, since I wasn't finished and it was still wet, Rob and I decided to sleep down stairs on the couches and have what he called a little "slumber party". We finally went to sleep and the boys had been waking up every so often but this last time, it was Tyson.  He apparently walked to the stairs and decided to come down, unfortunately he tripped or lost his footing, but he proceeded to fall down the stairs...Rob and I both jumped up when we heard him screaming in the amidst of falling down the stairs.  We both yelled out "Oh shit!" and began to run as fast as we could to the stairs...while running as fast as we could in the pitch dark house of ours and stepping on toys and trying to get the blankets off that we had on us, Rob stepped on something and up went his feet and legs and he landed on tile, right on his butt and somewhat on his back...I seriously was la...

This was year #3 for getting our pictures done and you'd think that as the years go by, we'd  I'd become less stressed---Who in the world am I trying to fool?!  I seriously stressed from before I even booked our appointment until about a couple hours ago...I worried about what color scheme, where should we go, will everyone smile, stay clean, injury free, no sickness, are the colors wrong, do I look fat...the list could seriously go on and on.   We were supposed to go on Veteran's Day, but due to Lincoln & Tyson getting sick and Rob's boss and a "big wig" paying a visit, we had to cancel on Friday morning.  On top of all that, Tyson fell more times than I can remember and had a large bruise on the side of his cheek and when I came home on Sunday, Lincoln had massive scratch marks across his cheek, chin and nose.  Awesome. Thankfully after a chaotic hour and a half of picture taking and almost 24 hours of worrying and hoping for at lea...

Venting.

So, when you have a baby, or two in our case, why doesn't God hand you a little note that says "This is going to be the hardest job you will ever have. You will love them uncoditionally no matter what, but they are going to break you and I'm not just talking about the bank."  I feel like I would be such a better parent knowing that there are going to be lots and lots and lots of days that you will want to pull your hair out and/or lock yourself in your room and scream into your pillow. I really do love these kids more than anything, but this has been one of the hardest week to date.  They have seriously broken us down and we are beyond drained.  The boys have been constantly getting into everything we own, no matter what it is or where it's at.  They are constantly fighting over toys, mom/dad, or whatever seems to be the hot item of the moment, which results in: hitting, pushing, tackling, pulling hair & biting.  That's right, we have b...
