Ethan's Run

We attended Ethan's Run again this year for the 2nd time and it was so great to see everyone working towards a great cause!  Due to scheduling conflicts it ended up just being me, Rob and the boys.

The boys are so active these days that we really didn't have time to take a lot pictures, but we had lots of fun.  After registration we ate a yummy pancake breakfast and then it was off to the starting line...and the boys quickly reminded us that they don't understand patience or that they have to wait in line! 

That's how we started the race in the front...all the way on the left side in the 2nd row by the guy in blue is where you can see me bending down to grab the kid from being ran over w/ Rob right behind me!


Most of the time I carried Tyson like this...upside down! Not my choice, after he screamed the first time that's all he wanted to do!


Lincoln only wanted to throw rocks...

We decided, I should clarify, Rob decided, to not use the stroller since the boys love to walk/run...well after they were done running (and us in last place!) we carried 25lb weights for 1.3 miles!!

After the race we met up with one of our favorite RT's who means a lot to our family, Jess and "little mama's"...

1st attempt...I love how both of our kids are trying to get away!

And Mr. Lincoln, who was too grumpy, but not as bad as his brother...

Thank you Skidmore Family for putting this wonderful event on and raising money ($10,000.00!) for our Heart Babies!!

Weekend Shenanigans & Father's Day!

Our weekend craziness started a little early on Friday morning when someone got a little hair cut by another 5 year old in this house... The boys wanted to watch a show before swim lessons and when I called them down, I got no response so I ran up there and Tyson says, "Mom! I get a jelly bean because I let Lincoln cut my hair!!".  Um, no. I didn't get a picture of him, but this is his hair...a lot of his hair!  It was cut in so many chunks and some places right to the scalp, so he got his head shaved today...and, he's so darn cute!   The Majorek kids and Richardson kids finally got to hang out and so we took the kids to Chuck E Cheeses...not our ideal place to hang, but the kids had a great time!  This little dudes face was so darn cute on this ride :o) And best news of the weekend, this kids finally learned how to swim!!!!  We have no idea as to why all of a sudden he decided to do it, ...

Highs & Lows of Surgery

Recovering after his surgery Thank you all for praying for Tyson, he is recovering great after a very long surgery Tuesday. Usually it takes a few days to close their chests back up after surgery, but his swelling was not too bad so, Dr. Nigro was able to close it on Wednesday, which is fantastic! He was doing really well with his breathing on the ventilator while trying to ween him off, that they decided to remove that Wednesday morning. After they removed it unfortnately, Tyson stopped breathing 5 different times within about 30-45 minutes after the ventilator was removed. The Nurses, Doctors and Respitory Therapists were still with him and were able to make him breathe again on his own after messing with and having to "bag" him. They believe that he still had the sedative medication in his blood stream and was not as awake enough. They gave him medication to reverse the effects of the sedative so that he would wake up which worked and he became stable. A few hours later ...
