Hawaiian Paradise! --- Day 1

I cannot begin to describe how awesome our trip to Maui was!  It was Heaven on Earth!!  From the moment we left Phoenix to the moment we left Honolulu, it was nothing but pure greatness!!  If we didn't have kids and our lives here, I would already be relocating :o) I'm sure everyone says that, but it was such a wonderfully-amazing trip with just the 2 of us!!!

We flew Hawaiian Airlines and I will never go with anyone else but them!

They are so stinking happy, the plane is huge and roomy, the food is pretty good and the entertainment is a great way to beat the 6 hour flight!

We took these shots from the plane shortly before we landed of Honolulu.  The water was amazingly beautiful from the sky!!

When we arrived in Honolulu, we had about 3 hours so we got a bite to eat at this restaurant called Stinger Rays Bar & Grill---despite it being in an airport, it was delicious!!  Of course, I had to try a drink, which is now my most favorite drink ever...Blue Hawaii!!!

As soon as we arrived  in Maui, we were greeted with these beautiful lei's...

And off we were to our beautiful resort...

After we checked in, we were taken by a golf cart to our room...we thought we were in a regular room of the tower, but not this time!!  We were staying in a cottage on the property that was minimal walking distance from the beach, lobby, restaurant, basically everywhere!!  It was amazing!

This was our view from our room and patio...

After we dropped off our stuff, we headed straight for the beach where we ran into this big guy...

These Monk Seals rarely beach themselves around people, but this one apparently wanted to get some rays!

We too, soaked in a little rays...

Then we had dinner at our resort, which was outside overlooking the ocean---again, beautiful!

While eating dinner we had a little entertainment!  First the beautiful dancer and then the girls and guys from the Luau putting a mini show to welcome us to the resort!  They danced for a bit and then the guys put on a fire show!

And our first nights sunset...

Aloha!
