Hawaiian Paradise! --- Day 6

Even though we snorkeled with the fish by our hotel and at Honolua, we were so excited to do some actual snorkeling off the island!  We met up with our group bright and early to take a boat ride out the island of Lanai.



The clarity of the water is insane!  These two pictures are from above the water!

Our first stop was a place that they normally don't get to go to because of the weather, but the weather was perfect and so we got to stop and take our first swim!  The coral was beautiful!!  And we got to swim with another sea turtle and were able to get pictures!!




This is my favorite piece of coral!!

Swimming with Sea Turtles is beyond this world, it is so cool!!  Rob enjoyed chasing them :o)






On our way to the other side of the island we came across a school of Dolphins and it was awesome!!  We went on an actual dolphin adventure a few years back and we didn't see one, so this was extra cool for us!









We finally arrived on the other side of the island and snorkeled again--the fish on this side were so fun to watch and swim with!!









After swimming and snorkeling for a total of 4+ hours, we had  nice little lunch on the boat before heading back to Maui.  It was so much fun and an experience of a life time!
As we were walking around, we came across these Hibiscus flowers...

 Instead of playgrounds, the little kids play on this cool tree!!  It was so cute :o)

To finish off the camera we went snorkeling some more by our resort...

The water is incredibly clear!! We loved it!!


  







When we got done, these boards were set up---Don't they look so cool?!

After we were done, we might have headed over to the other hotel we visited the other day :o)  We walked around and then took a little dip in the pool!  haha


We took in some more amazing scenery!  This place is just out of this world!




And these flowers are gorgeous!!
    
This tiki guy hangs out on the lawn at our resort---I love it!

Even their "pine" trees are tropical!!
  
We had dinner and drinks at our favorite place for the last time...Tia Juana's and then walked around town

We witnessed the best sunset of the trip!

Our weekend craziness started a little early on Friday morning when someone got a little hair cut by another 5 year old in this house... The boys wanted to watch a show before swim lessons and when I called them down, I got no response so I ran up there and Tyson says, "Mom! I get a jelly bean because I let Lincoln cut my hair!!".  Um, no. I didn't get a picture of him, but this is his hair...a lot of his hair!  It was cut in so many chunks and some places right to the scalp, so he got his head shaved today...and, he's so darn cute!   The Majorek kids and Richardson kids finally got to hang out and so we took the kids to Chuck E Cheeses...not our ideal place to hang, but the kids had a great time!  This little dudes face was so darn cute on this ride :o) And best news of the weekend, this kids finally learned how to swim!!!!  We have no idea as to why all of a sudden he decided to do it, ...

Highs & Lows of Surgery

Recovering after his surgery Thank you all for praying for Tyson, he is recovering great after a very long surgery Tuesday. Usually it takes a few days to close their chests back up after surgery, but his swelling was not too bad so, Dr. Nigro was able to close it on Wednesday, which is fantastic! He was doing really well with his breathing on the ventilator while trying to ween him off, that they decided to remove that Wednesday morning. After they removed it unfortnately, Tyson stopped breathing 5 different times within about 30-45 minutes after the ventilator was removed. The Nurses, Doctors and Respitory Therapists were still with him and were able to make him breathe again on his own after messing with and having to "bag" him. They believe that he still had the sedative medication in his blood stream and was not as awake enough. They gave him medication to reverse the effects of the sedative so that he would wake up which worked and he became stable. A few hours later ...
