Hawaiian Paradise! --- Day 5

Believe it or not, we started our day with "Cheesebrurger in Paradise!"

While eating we noticed that there were parasailers and we started talking and decided that we should give it a shot!!  This was supposed to be our "free day", but we said, what the heck it's our vacation let's try it!!


Off we went and we booked our 1200ft ride!  That is crazy high, but it was a blast!!!  We had about an hour to kill so we went and walked around downtown Lahaina and checked out the Lahaina Heritage Museum..




And then it was PARASAILING time!!!!


What's even cooler, is that they take pictures of you and they turned out great!!



























After parasailing, we went to Honolua and went snorkeling---it was very cool!  We swam with a sea turtle again!!
 
To top off the night we attended a Luau!!




We started with drinks and a buffet dinner...I'm not one for eating meat, but I have to say the pig may have looked disgusting, but it tasted really good!  Along with all the other food they gave us!! 

They started by asking for the girls to come up to the stage to learn a dance, so I gave it a shot!!!

The first dancer was just beautiful, especially with the amazing background!!










This was our favorite part of the show!!  The guys did an amazing job with the fire!!

Weekend Shenanigans & Father's Day!

Our weekend craziness started a little early on Friday morning when someone got a little hair cut by another 5 year old in this house... The boys wanted to watch a show before swim lessons and when I called them down, I got no response so I ran up there and Tyson says, "Mom! I get a jelly bean because I let Lincoln cut my hair!!".  Um, no. I didn't get a picture of him, but this is his hair...a lot of his hair!  It was cut in so many chunks and some places right to the scalp, so he got his head shaved today...and, he's so darn cute!   The Majorek kids and Richardson kids finally got to hang out and so we took the kids to Chuck E Cheeses...not our ideal place to hang, but the kids had a great time!  This little dudes face was so darn cute on this ride :o) And best news of the weekend, this kids finally learned how to swim!!!!  We have no idea as to why all of a sudden he decided to do it, ...

Highs & Lows of Surgery

Recovering after his surgery Thank you all for praying for Tyson, he is recovering great after a very long surgery Tuesday. Usually it takes a few days to close their chests back up after surgery, but his swelling was not too bad so, Dr. Nigro was able to close it on Wednesday, which is fantastic! He was doing really well with his breathing on the ventilator while trying to ween him off, that they decided to remove that Wednesday morning. After they removed it unfortnately, Tyson stopped breathing 5 different times within about 30-45 minutes after the ventilator was removed. The Nurses, Doctors and Respitory Therapists were still with him and were able to make him breathe again on his own after messing with and having to "bag" him. They believe that he still had the sedative medication in his blood stream and was not as awake enough. They gave him medication to reverse the effects of the sedative so that he would wake up which worked and he became stable. A few hours later ...
