And Babies Make...5

So today Kaila got her 3rd quarter report card and she got STRAIGHT A'S!!! We couldn't be more proud! She was so excited and called me right away to tell me the great news and like every other kid who gets straight a's asked the most important question..."Now, don't I get something for getting all A's??" Apparently we promised her something when she first started 3rd grade but we can't remember, so we're deciding :o) Great job Kaila!! Mommy & Daddy are so proud of you!!

On Thursday, we went to the doctor for a check up...and boy was it the best one so far! The last time we saw them they were little blobs with beating hearts...now they actually resemble babies :o) I can't even describe how amazing it was to see them like this! We got to see their hands, arms, legs, feet, spines, their little heads that indicates where their eyes, ears, nose and mouths are...way too cute and amazing!! It totally made our week and made it much more realistic!! Here are some pictures... Baby "A" & Baby "B" together... Oh belly is right...well at least I think so!! We went to the OB on Monday and we're able to hear the heartbeats through the doppler and then the doctor and I started talking about the pregnancy and everything else and then the "weight talk" came up! I've only gained 5 1/2 lbs and she said she wants me to gain another 30 over the entire pregnancy...that seems like so much weight but I guess I have to remember there's two babies in this belly so I guess that's normal?! I wasn't planning on taking belly pictures because I just feel huge and not so cute, but I caved in and decided to take a few!! I'm going to have a friend take them for me but I was bugged and bugged to show it off now...so here they are. You may not think I'm getting big but I sure feel like I am!! I'm only 11 weeks but I feel huge!!

Today Rob and I were walking around my favorite store, Target, and decided to take a look through the baby aisle's. Normally, I only walk by the outside baby aisle on my way to the purses and wallets section unless I am buying a gift for a friend, but since we are pregnant I thought it was appropriate to take a closer look into what it will be like and how much it will cost to have babies! We only walked down a few of the aisles and when you are having to look for yourself it gets quite overwhelming, especially when you have to look at the double strollers! Have you ever pushed one around before?! I swear it is the size of Texas!! I made Rob pull it down and I walked around the baby clothing section for a minute or so...it was very entertaining...It wasn't that heavy although there wasn't 2 carseats with 2 babies in them either, but it was not as easy as a single stroller! And they do not make very many styles to choose from when it comes to double strollers :o( We als...

I feel like these past 2 weeks have gone by so fast and have been so busy! And I can't explain how crazy tired I am too...I guess that's what happens when you work a full time job, teach guards, take care of a 8 yr old and hubby, not to mention currently pregnant!! My body is working overtime and it's sure time for a break!! Since the last time I blogged, the babies have grown and so has mom!! That's right, my stomach has popped out!! I woke up on Saturday morning about 2 weeks ago and I had this stomach and I feel like it just keeps getting bigger...I know, I know I'm caring twins so I will show earlier, but I was not ready for this!! When I went to the doctor 2 Monday's ago, they said my uterus was the size of at least 10-12 weeks...I was only barely 8 weeks along at the time!! Which explained why my stomach popped out. I now can't button any of my work pants and my "fat" jeans that I used to have to wear a belt with or they'd fall off, ...

Apparently the babies wanted to check out the hospital they were going to be born in...so we did! Heres what happened...unfortunately on Tuesday when I got home from work, I became extremely ill. I haven't been able to keep anything down since then, including water! I was getting very weak and nothing was helping. So, we decided to head down to urgent care...when we got there they were only going to give me meds to help the nausea but we were concerned about not keeping fluids down and they couldn't get me on an iv with fluids...they would have had to transfer me if the meds didn't work. We just decided to head to the hospital so that I could for sure get some fluids in me. We arrived at the hospital with a very busy waiting room :o( After waiting for a while and gave blood and urine samples...we got a room! I had to be given 2 bags of fluid and the best nausea medicine in the world!! During my IV a doctor came and took me to get an ultra-sound of the babies...just to ...
