11 Years Old!!

We officially have a 11 year old/6th Grader in our house!  And yes, we are starting to feel old :( 


For her Birthday Dinner, she decided she wanted to go to Rain Forest Cafe---It is a cool place and I haven't been in about 10 years in which I forgot that they have pretend thunderstorms and the animals move and make very loud noises...not a place I recommend taking toddlers!!  The boys, especially Tyson, were kind of scared of everything!!   

If it weren't for the awesome fish tanks, we just might have had to leave!

Kaila went around and took a ton of pictures throughout the restaurant.  Here are a few...

Kaila: "What's the best thing about turning 11?!?! You get to order off the adult menu!!" Thoughts running through my head...Nothing, but dollar signs!

Time to open her numerous presents!!  This girl made out like a bandit!  


She really wanted an ipod touch, but after realizing that wasn't going to happen she was over the moon when she opened these...


And immediately decided to put them on :o)  Apparently neon vans are the "in" thing right now!!


We topped off the night with a "Happy Birthday" song and ate this huge dessert!!

Time has just flown by over the years!!  I can't believe she is already 11 and is going into 6th grade!!  We are also so proud that she ended the school year with straight A's!!  We haven't had her "11 yr check-up" with all her actual stats, here are a few...
  • Within no time she is going to be taller than me!! 
  • She wears a sizes 8 shoe---that would  be almost 3 sizes bigger than mine!!
  • Can actually wear some of my clothes already!! 
  • Loves to wear anything neon these days 
  • Does not like being referred to a little kid anymore 
  • She still asks for a cell phone and an ipod touch---can't hurt a girl for trying, just sucks that mom is sticking to her guns :o) haha!
  • Still likes soccer, but wants to try something new possibly softball and/or basketball
  • Favorite color is still orange, but as mentioned above anything neon is awesome!
Happy 11th Birthday Kaila, we love you so much!!

Weekend Shenanigans & Father's Day!

Our weekend craziness started a little early on Friday morning when someone got a little hair cut by another 5 year old in this house... The boys wanted to watch a show before swim lessons and when I called them down, I got no response so I ran up there and Tyson says, "Mom! I get a jelly bean because I let Lincoln cut my hair!!".  Um, no. I didn't get a picture of him, but this is his hair...a lot of his hair!  It was cut in so many chunks and some places right to the scalp, so he got his head shaved today...and, he's so darn cute!   The Majorek kids and Richardson kids finally got to hang out and so we took the kids to Chuck E Cheeses...not our ideal place to hang, but the kids had a great time!  This little dudes face was so darn cute on this ride :o) And best news of the weekend, this kids finally learned how to swim!!!!  We have no idea as to why all of a sudden he decided to do it, ...

Highs & Lows of Surgery

Recovering after his surgery Thank you all for praying for Tyson, he is recovering great after a very long surgery Tuesday. Usually it takes a few days to close their chests back up after surgery, but his swelling was not too bad so, Dr. Nigro was able to close it on Wednesday, which is fantastic! He was doing really well with his breathing on the ventilator while trying to ween him off, that they decided to remove that Wednesday morning. After they removed it unfortnately, Tyson stopped breathing 5 different times within about 30-45 minutes after the ventilator was removed. The Nurses, Doctors and Respitory Therapists were still with him and were able to make him breathe again on his own after messing with and having to "bag" him. They believe that he still had the sedative medication in his blood stream and was not as awake enough. They gave him medication to reverse the effects of the sedative so that he would wake up which worked and he became stable. A few hours later ...
