Happy 11th Birthday Kaila!

Kaila wanted to celebrate her day by having a pool party with her friends and then dinner with the family on her actual birthday.  This year was definitely different from the ones in the past...before the kids wouldn't mind us being around and would actually speak to us or come hang by us, this year, forget it.  They could careless who we were and wanted to just "hang out".  It seems too early to totally not like the parents, but it was kind of nice that they didn't need us every two seconds :o)

Kaila is very into neon colors and peace/love signs so that's the theme we went with...



These little dudes were most definitely not missing a single second of the action!  It was super cute to see them follow Kaila and her friends around, despite they were super tired and a little cranky.  They just couldn't miss a thing :o)

Finally after what seemed like forever, it was swim time!!

That's right, there was a boy invited! (Actually a few were, but only he was able to make it and no, it's not her boyfriend!)

Kaila filled a ton of water balloons so they could have a fight and tossing contest!


And then lead somehow to putting Kaila in the bucket and dumping her :o)

Then it was time to finally eat---We ordered pizza from Little Caesar's, but for some reason with all the chaos we could not accurately figure out how many to order and we ended up with 4 extra pizzas!! Seriously had way too much pizza!!

The boys finally joined the kids swimming and were just too cute not to photograph :o)


Not the best photo, but I was there too!  And so did her Nana, G-Pa, Uncle Riley & Aunt Haley!

Time to sing "Happy Birthday!!"  Her cake turned out pretty awesome and we all had black mouths :o)


Present time!!!!

The cutest gift idea ever!  She got a towel, some pool toys, makeup, nail polish, plush so much more all in a little bucket! Adorable.

After the induction ceremony for Kaila the kids got to get up close and personal with a Police Officer's SUV.  Kambrie's (Kaila's Best Friend) dad is a Supervisor for the Police Dept and was kind enough to let all the kids check it out :o)  They all had so much fun and thought it was the coolest thing ever!

So creative...

Kaila blows me away some days with her creativity and imagination!  She had a project at school where they had to make replecas of important items out of a book they read in class.  If I remember correctly the book is called the "Hatchet".  They also had to present it to everyone and out of her entire class, her teacher asked her if she could keep it so that she can have it as an example for next year! Here is what she made...and honestly I just helped with the hot glue gun, everything was her idea and was done by her own little hands!! The bird from the book... His home that he built... The plane he came in on, tornado and fire... His bow and arrow...  And his raft and hatchet... Great job Kaila!!
